About Us
Purpose
Running Back Giving Back Foundation is a 501C3 with the following Performance objectives:
1) Improve academic achievement.
2) Increase school attendance and reduce the dropout rate.
3) Decrease negative and unsafe behaviors, both in school and out.
4) Improve student participation in after school activities and the community.
5) Increase parent involvement in their child’s education and school related activities. Encourage parent engagement, in becoming more
effective partners in their children’s education.
These goals and objectives affirm the Running Back Giving Back Foundation’s vision by helping economically disadvantaged and at-promise youth succeed academically and socially, through after school enrichment programs, summer camp scholarships, and community services.
Our Founder
Kimble Anders grew up in the Galveston, Texas. Life was not handed to him on a silver spoon. Kimble realized early that if he wanted more out of life he was going to have to work for it. Football was his way out. At an early age Kimble excelled at the sport. After an outstanding high school career at Ball High School in Galveston, TX he went on to play at the University of Houston. At U of H Kimble had 261 carries for 1,359 yards and 16 TDs to go with 115 receptions for 1,718 and 11 scores. In 1991 Kimble joined the Kansas City Chiefs as a free agent. Kimble ended his career with the Chiefs in 2000 as a 3X Pro Bowl selection and holds the Chiefs record for most receptions by a running back. Since leaving the field as a player Kimble has been the running back coach for MidAmerica Nazarene University, head coach for Northeast High School in Kansas City and at Ball High School in Galveston. Athletic director for the Kansas City School District and also at Ball High School. in November 2022 Anders was inducted into the Kansas City Chiefs Hall of Fame and Ring of Honor. Kimble has always had a compassion for giving back, especially to those who need help the most, kids. They all have a talent and Running Back Giving Back wants to help them find that talent.
